First Things

Our popular culture has undergone quite a shift over the past fifty years or so.  There was a time when God was honored by America and few would raise their voice to oppose the risen Christ.  What happened?

The removal of God from our institutions has not been by accident.  Those who sought to destroy the Christian influence that America exerted in the world knew that would be impossible as long as the majority of the population maintained faith in Christ.

Decades ago, God was declared dead.  The implication for society was that people were now free to create a god in their own image.  It has taken many years, but slowly the culture shifted to the place where many no longer accept Christ as the world's Redeemer.  It is not politically correct to say so, and many Christians have bowed to public pressure and kept silent.

Now that Christ has been dismissed and the church has been largely silenced, spirituality is suddenly in vogue again!  But the new spirituality has nothing to do with righteousness, justice, mercy and truth.  It is a self-serving spirituality that will destroy those who pursue it.

If you seek to know the truth, you will find these pages helpful.  However, if you are seeking to justify your understanding of the truth, you will go away empty handed.

Our prayer is that your pursuit of truth is more important to you than simply proving who is right.  There is only One who is right and that is God.  If you would know Him, there is only one way to come to Him: through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Carpenter of Galilee.  If you don't know Him, that is your first step. You can take it today!
